WorkReadyU

The mission of WorkReadyU is to:

  • increase job opportunities by providing literacy, language and workforce skills with basic educational development
  • align education and training with local employment opportunities
  • maintain economic competitiveness and promote community development in Dallas County

We Partner With Businesses

While we do serve low-income and high-poverty adult learners, we also work with employers and community-based organizations to provide GED preparation, ESL classes and customized job training to incumbent workers and potential employees.

Examples of these partnerships include:

  • DART CDL training
  • Early Childhood Development career pathway training with the incumbent workers at Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dallas
  • ESL instruction at El Rio Grande Latin Market

  • Cost: No cost to you, the employer, or the student
  • Location: Any of our 7 college facilities or on-site
  • When: Any time throughout the year based on the employer’s needs
  • Curriculum: Developed entirely around the needs of the employer or training
