The Office of Global Economic Development plays an important role in positioning DCCCD as a recognized global workforce and economic development resource for companies and organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
In order to accomplish this goal, DCCCD collaborates with various trade organizations, key industry representatives, economic development entities, relevant education organizations, foreign embassies and consulates and chambers of commerce.
We collaborate strategically to position the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in support of foreign direct investment and foreign trade projects, in addition to supporting the relocation of global businesses with significant potential for workforce and community development.
We work closely with official representatives from foreign embassies and consulates to identify, promote and coordinate districtwide globalization strategies including educational, cultural and business initiatives.
We engage with international trade and cultural organizations and actively participate in events, trade missions, official visits, summits and conferences that are relevant to DCCCD goals and objectives.
We work together with educational entities to promote and implement global learning initiatives that translate into professional development programs, study abroad opportunities, internationalization of our colleges and academic collaboration.
We work in conjunction with established economic development organizations located in the Dallas-Forth Worth metroplex, promoting DCCCD resources, such as customized training, talent acquisition, talent pipelines, cultural sensitivity, market intelligence information and business assistance. We work together to develop programs and initiatives through which DCCCD has potential to make a positive contribution to the community.
